Veteran Actor Fabian Adibe Confirmed Dead

The Nigerian film industry is in mourning following the announcement of the passing of veteran actor Fabian Adibe. He was 82 years old.

The news was confirmed early Wednesday by Seun Oloketuyi, the CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON). Oloketuyi announced the loss on social media, writing: “Things Fall Apart actor, Fabian Adibie, is dead. Died 2:30 am this morning.”

Adibe was a respected figure in Nollywood, celebrated for a prolific career that spanned decades. He was particularly renowned for his powerful performances in several classic Nigerian films.

His most iconic role was in the seminal screen adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s legendary novel, Things Fall Apart, which cemented his status as a pillar of African storytelling.
