Napoli Reportedly Wants Eagles Striker as Lukaku Replacement

According to a recent report, the reigning Serie A champions, Napoli, are looking to bring in a new player, Tolu Arokodare, a striker from Super Eagles and Genk. This move is meant to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is injured and will miss a lot of games, as shared by PUNCH Sports Extra.

‎Napoli’s manager, Antonio Conte, is looking for a new star player after Romelu Lukaku’s injury. The club has named several players as possible options, including Tolu Arokodare and Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United.

‎Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano says that Napoli is still trying to find a new striker after Lukaku’s injury.
‎They have already contacted Arokodare’s representatives. Genk values him at around €20 to €25 million after he was the top scorer in the Belgian league last season. They are also looking at Højlund as they search for a new striker.

‎Arokodare, who is 24 years old, had a great season with Genk in the Jupiler League, scoring 23 goals and setting up seven more in 45 matches across all competitions.

‎That made him the top scorer of the league. His good form caught the attention of many European teams during the summer transfer window, but it seems a transfer isn’t likely right now.

‎Arokodare started the season with Genk’s 2-1 loss to Standard Liege. He has been playing as a substitute in every match this season. His club manager, Thorsten Fink, said, “It’s money time for Tolu. The club simply has to sell.”
