Gov Diri Pledges to Complete Ongoing Projects, Fulfill Car Gift to Police Officer

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri says his Administration will not abandon any project when he leaves office in February 2028.

Senator Diri who gave the assurance on Wednesday at the 169th session of the state executive council meeting in Government House, Yenagoa assured those present that all ongoing projects will be completed.

Governor Diri also redeemed his pledge of a brand-new car to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Obi Sentome, the officer who refused a Seventeen thousand dollars bribe from a suspected ritualist.

Senator Diri represented by his Special Adviser on Security Matters, CP Akpoebi Agberebi (Rtd) made the presentation of the car gift at Government House.

CP Agberebi (Rtd) who recalled the Governor’s earlier pledge during a state reception in honour of Sentome’s integrity and professionalism and stated that the presentation showed the Prosperity Governor is a man of his words.
