According to the latest report, the West London Giants, Chelsea, have decided to set aside £11.4 million ($15.5 million) to share equally among the players who helped Enzo Maresca’s team win the Club World Cup this summer.
In addition, both the club and the players have agreed to contribute the same amount to the family of Jota, after the tragic car accident in July that took the lives of Jota and his brother Silva.
The football world has been deeply moved by the loss of the brothers Jota and Silva.
Liverpool has announced plans to create a memorial sculpture of Jota at Anfield, and the team will wear a ‘Forever 20’ badge on their shirts and jackets for the new season. This shows a similar sense of respect and class as seen with Chelsea’s actions.

A special mosaic made by Liverpool fans, along with a minute’s silence, will take place during Slot’s team’s first Premier League match against Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday.
The club has also retired the number 20 jersey in honor of Jota.
As Liverpool prepares for that meaningful match against Bournemouth to start their Premier League title campaign, Chelsea will welcome Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge just two days later.
