Popular Nigerian socialite and entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest, born Pascal Okechukwu, has revealed that he will be absent from the highly anticipated wedding of Afrobeats superstar Davido and his longtime partner Chioma Rowland, after being denied a United States visa.
In a heartfelt post shared on his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest expressed deep disappointment over missing his best friend’s big day, which is set to take place on Saturday in Miami, Florida.
“Woke up this morning with mixed feelings. I’m happy and I’m still sad at the same time,” he wrote.
“You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding.”
He used the opportunity to publicly appeal to the United States Mission in Nigeria (@usinnigeria) and the Nigerian government for assistance in securing a visa.
“I appreciate the bashing, because that has given me multiple reasons and proof to apply again @usinnigeria. Do it for me this time,” he pleaded.

He also noted that his wife and family were present at the wedding to represent him, and promised to reapply for a visa next week.
The wedding, which follows a lavish Havana-themed pre-wedding party, has drawn celebrities and dignitaries from across the globe. Davido previously revealed that the ceremony would cost an estimated $3.7 million.
