The Director General of Council for Arts and Culture; Obi Asika has called for the activities of the workers to be intellectually rebranded as RATTAWU members and workers generally come Face to Face with Global transformative realities of Artificial intelligence (AI).
The DG stated this when the New leadership of Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria; led by the New President Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Fingers) paid him a thank you visit for supporting and contributing to the emergence of the new administration.
While welcoming the New National Executives of RATTAWU, the DG reminded the team of the enormous responsibilities before them, considering the overwhelming support they got at the just Concluded National Delegate Conference held in Gombe.
The DG expressed the willingness of the Council to Partner with the New Leadership in coordinating, developing and promoting Living Arts and Culture in Nigeria which is in tandem with the mission and vision of the Council.
Mr Obi Asika, in sharing the vision of the National Council for Arts and Culture, embedded in its desire to have a Unified Nigeria where Culture and Arts as a way of Life of the people is made Manifest, has embarked on training and retraining of staff, making them multi-skilled to handle various tasks before them.
He believed RATTAWU with it’s followership will help the Council in achieving its dreams, hence, all hands must be on deck to ensure the collaboration continued to linger on.
RATTAWU he said as a Worthy Partners will continue to be part of NAFEST and other programmes of the Council.

Earlier, the National President of RATTAWU (Magic Fingers ) showered praises on the DG and appreciated, President Bola Ahmed Tinibu for appointing a Man of great experience and intellectual prowess to lead the National Council for Arts and Culture.
Princes Emeka Kalu expressed the desire of RATTAWU, the Largest Union of Media and Cultural Workers in Africa to pursue the actualisation of the New Media/Cultural Salary Structure.
He promised to ensure that the Union stops the porching of it’s members by other Unions.
He informed the DG of the desire of the Union to open frontiers for better collaboration and partnership with critical stakeholders towards training and restraining of Members of the Union.
He hoped the Council will play a major role when RATTAWU comes knocking as it prepares for its Golden Jubilee in 2027.
