Heirs Energies CEO to Speak at 2025 U.S.-Africa Energy Forum in Houston

Heirs Energies, Africa’s largest indigenous-owned integrated energy company, has announced that its CEO, Osa Igiehon, will represent the company at the 2025 U.S.-Africa Energy Forum (USAEF), scheduled for August 6–7 at the Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas.

The Forum will convene U.S. and African policymakers, investors, and private sector leaders to explore investment opportunities, drive innovation, and foster partnerships shaping Africa’s evolving energy future.

As part of the agenda, Igiehon will deliver an Executive Insight address and participate in the Explorers Town Hall, offering Heirs Energies’ perspective on unlocking Africa’s full energy potential through sustainable and responsible development.

Heirs Energies’ presence at USAEF underscores its mission to help Africa shift from energy scarcity to energy sufficiency.

With operations across the oil and gas value chain, the company is investing in infrastructure and technology to provide reliable energy solutions for homes, industries, and communities across the continent.

“At Heirs Energies, we believe Africa’s exploration future is anchored in two key narratives: unlocking new frontier plays and achieving excellence in brownfield management.

“Our goal is to show how African-owned companies can steward these resources with world-class standards while delivering broad-based prosperity.”

This vision is grounded in the Africapitalism philosophy of its parent company, Heirs Holdings — the belief that the private sector plays a central role in driving Africa’s development by generating both economic and social returns.

At the Forum, Heirs Energies will showcase how this philosophy is reflected in its strategic focus on responsible brownfield operations, gas monetization, and partnerships that build local capacity while attracting global collaboration.

As part of its gas commercialization strategy, Heirs Energies currently supplies gas to three power plants in Eastern Nigeria and is steadily expanding infrastructure to support the country’s electrification agenda.

“Every molecule must count — not just in terms of production, but for powering homes, fueling industries, and setting a benchmark for what indigenous operators can achieve,” Igiehon added.

The U.S.-Africa Energy Forum will focus on creating a conducive environment for investment across hydrocarbons, natural gas, and renewable energy. Heirs Energies’ involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to forging impactful partnerships that support Africa’s energy security while contributing to global sustainability goals.

Heirs Energies is a leading African-owned integrated energy company dedicated to addressing the continent’s unique energy needs through innovation, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment, shaping a more prosperous and sustainable future for Africa.
