A fatal car accident on Air Force Road in Port Harcourt claimed two lives on Monday, August 4, 2025, according to local reports. The incident, captured in a video shared by Portharcourt Specials on X, shows a vehicle overturned with significant damage, amid a scene of chaos and distress.

The footage, taken from inside another vehicle, reveals a wet road surface, suggesting adverse weather conditions may have contributed to the crash. A person, possibly involved in the accident, is seen in distress, highlighting the immediate human impact. The video has sparked concern over road safety in the area, especially given recent similar incidents.

This accident follows a pattern of road safety issues in Port Harcourt. On July 30, 2025, three passengers died and four were injured in a collision involving a mini bus and a stationary truck along the East/West Road, attributed to brake failure. The recurring nature of these incidents underscores the urgent need for improved road safety measures.
