Super Falcons Victory Should Inspire the Super Eagles- NFF

‎The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said that the success of the Super Falcons should inspire other national teams, especially the Super Eagles, as they get ready to start their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches in the coming weeks.

In a statement shared after a meeting on Tuesday, July 29, at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja, the committee praised the President for giving national honours, cash rewards, and housing support to the players and staff.

‎The NFF described this as a way to boost morale and encourage more girls to play football, helping to bring more life back to women’s football in Nigeria.

‎They also urged thorough preparation for key games against Rwanda and South Africa, and asked the Secretariat to make sure all the logistics are handled properly.

‎On the men’s side, the NFF is happy with how the Super Eagles’ B team is getting ready for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), which starts on August 2 in East Africa.

‎The team is currently training in Zanzibar and will face Senegal and Sudan in their group matches.

‎The committee also looked at the Flying Eagles’ recent second-place finish in the WAFU B U20 Championship in Ghana, and told the coaching staff to work harder on their plans for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile.

‎They also welcomed the appointments of Moses Aduku as head coach of the Falconets and Manu Garba as head coach of the Golden Eaglets, and encouraged them to build strong teams for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and regional competitions.
