Sophia Momodu Speaks on Family Plans: “Another Baby Not a Priority”

Sophia Momodu, entrepreneur and mother of Davido’s first child Imade Adeleke, has publicly addressed questions about expanding her family. In statements reported by multiple Nigerian media outlets including Daily Post Nigeria and TV360 Nigeria, Momodu revealed that having another child is not currently part of her life plans.

The businesswoman was directly quoted by TV360 Nigeria stating: “Having another baby isn’t on my priority list.” This clear declaration about her personal choices has sparked discussions about women’s autonomy in family planning decisions, particularly among public figures.

Momodu, who co-parents 8-year-old Imade with Afrobeat star Davido, appears focused on her daughter’s upbringing and her various business ventures. While she didn’t elaborate on specific reasons for her decision, her statement reflects a deliberate approach to her current life chapter as both a mother and entrepreneur.

The revelation comes amid continued public interest in Momodu’s life, which has remained relatively private despite her connection to one of Nigeria’s most famous musicians. Her candid remarks provide rare insight into her personal priorities while navigating life in the spotlight.

Social media reactions to Momodu’s statement have been mixed, with many applauding her honesty about personal choices, while others speculate about potential underlying reasons. The discussion highlights growing conversations about family planning and women’s life decisions in contemporary Nigerian society.
