Renowned Nollywood actor Don Richard has reached out to the public, seeking financial assistance as he faces a serious health challenge. The plea was made in an emotional video shared on Instagram by his colleague and Talk to B show host, Biola Bayo, on Tuesday evening.
In the heartfelt clip, Richard revealed that he has been struggling with a kidney-related illness. He recounted the toll his condition has taken on his family, particularly his wife, who was devastated upon learning about his health.

“When my wife was told about my health, she started crying. And I told her that ‘another man is a lucky man.’ I begged her to take good care of my children (twins),” the actor shared.
He further explained the sacrifices his family has made to support his treatment, stating, “Immediately she left the hospital, she went to dispose of our house and car for my treatment. I have nothing left anymore.”
Accompanying the video, Biola Bayo posted Richard’s account details, adding, “Don Richard has been down with a kidney in a while.” The appeal has since drawn attention from fans and well-wishers, sparking an outpouring of support for the ailing actor.
