Newly Appointed Kano Pillars’ Coach, Ogenyi Resumes Duty

According to a recent report, it has been confirmed that the newly appointed coach, Evans Ogenyi, has officially resumed his role as the technical adviser for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) team, Kano Pillars.

The report also states that Evans Ogenyi oversaw the team’s training session at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Thursday.

The former assistant coach of Rivers United was announced as the new head coach of Sai Masu Gida on Wednesday.

Ogenyi takes over from coach Usman Abdallah, who departed the club following the conclusion of the 2024-25 NPFL season.

The seasoned tactician has returned to the club after successfully leading Kano Pillars to promotion in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in 2023.

Ogenyi has prior management experience with Warri Wolves and Lobi Stars.
