Davido Pays Emotional Tribute to Late Son Ifeanyi

Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, recently honored the memory of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in a touching social media post. The grieving father took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a heartfelt message, writing, “Ifeanyi David Adedeji Adeleke RIP LEGEND !!” The tribute comes nearly three years after the tragic incident that claimed the young boy’s life.

Ifeanyi’s untimely death occurred on October 31, 2022, in a devastating drowning accident at the family’s luxurious residence in Banana Island, Lagos. Reports from the Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the toddler was found unconscious in the swimming pool and was later pronounced dead. At the time of the incident, neither Davido nor Ifeanyi’s mother, Chef Chioma Rowland, were present at home.

Authorities conducted an autopsy, which confirmed that the cause of death was drowning. In the wake of the tragedy, eight domestic staff members were detained for questioning as part of the investigation. While six were eventually released, two remained under further scrutiny to determine whether negligence played a role in the incident.

The loss of Ifeanyi sent shockwaves through fans, drawing an outpouring of condolences from fans, fellow celebrities, and public figures. Davido and Chioma have since kept their son’s memory alive through private tributes and occasional public acknowledgments.
