Rivers Police Command Synergies with Communities for Improved Operations

In a bid to improve the relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and its public, the Sani Abacha Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) organized a one-day town hall meeting to galvanize support and resources for the security of lives and properties.

‎Speaking at the event, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olubenga Adepoju, who was represented by CSP Henry King Ogbuefi, said the Police is working in partnership with PCRC to ensure that Rivers State is safer and viable for businesses to thrive.

‎He also assured well-meaning Nigerians to approach the police with credible information that would proactively assist in combating crime and every other form of illegality.

Also speaking, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Sani Abacha Division, CSP Muktar Mahdi, appealed for more support from the PCRC to tackle some of the challenges confronting the Police.

‎The Divisional Chairman of PCRC Sani Abacha Area, Dr. Sam Chukwuemeka, said the meeting was geared towards creating awareness and supporting the Nigerian Police Force towards improving their operational efficiency.

‎He said the meeting was also an avenue for members of the community to get answers and solutions to some security issues they encounter regularly.
