Fubara Eulogises Buhari, Mourns His Demise

The suspended governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, had described the former president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday afternoon at a hospital in London, as a leader of legacy and principle.

Fubara gave this description in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nelson Chukwudi, on Monday, July 14, 2025, where he expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former President.

In a condolence message, Fubara extended his sympathies to the late president’s family, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well as the Government and people of Nigeria, describing the loss as a significant one for the nation.

Speaking on behalf of his family and the people of Rivers State, the Governor conveyed his condolences to Tinubu, the Buhari family, and Nigerians at large, acknowledging the former president’s contributions to national development and leadership.
