Bonny LG Administrator Inspects Road Project, Tasks Contractor On Speedy Delivery

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the Administrator of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr. Kingsley Banigo, and his team inspected the ongoing rehabilitation work on the beam bridge along Hospital Road, connecting the Industrial Unit/SDP axis.

The tour by the administrator was aimed at assessing the progress of work and also to ensure compliance with approved standards.

During the visit, Banigo reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to completing the remedial work being carried out.

He noted that despite the setbacks caused by persistent rainfall, he had been engaging directly with engineers, site supervisors, and workers.

Banigo acknowledged receiving detailed updates on the status of the project, even as he expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far.

The administrator also encouraged the contractors to intensify efforts toward timely completion.

According to him, “our goal is to ensure that this critical access road is restored for the safe and convenient movement of our people.

“We are committed to providing the needed support to see this project through.”

During the inspection, Banigo listened to the concerns of the workers on-site and provided direction to the project team.
