‎Administrator of Port Harcourt Inaugurates Sanitation, Flood Management Committees

In a bid to create a clean and flood free Port Harcourt City ocal Government Area, The Administrator of Port Harcourt City Local Government, Barr. Sam Kalagbor, has inaugurated two special committees: Environmental Sanitation Committee and Flood Management Control Committee.

‎During the inauguration ceremony, Barr. Sam B Kalagbor expressed gratitude to the Chairmen, excos and members of the committees for accepting the call to serve in these capacities.

‎He emphasized the importance of Environmental Sanitation in the LGA, communities and society at large and highlighted the need to keep Port Harcourt City clean.



‎The Administrator also stressed the significance of effective Flood Management, particularly in a cosmopolitan city like Port Harcourt; which NIMET has predicted as a flood prone area, assured the committees of his support and provision of necessary resources to facilitate their work.

‎Responding, the Chairman of the Flood Management Committee who spoke on behalf of the two committees – Professor Precious Ede thanked the Administrator and assured him of their unwavering support and willingness to contribute their wealth of knowledge for the betterment of the Local Government and the State at large.
