Nigeria vs Tunisia Kick Off Their WAFCON Campaign Today

According to the report, it is stated that Nigeria will face Tunisia in their opening match as part of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) today.

The game is scheduled to commence at 5 p.m. local time.

As per the African Football Confederation (CAF), fans wishing to view the tournament have several options available.

Individuals in Nigeria can tune in to SuperSport to watch the matches, while viewers in Tunisia can catch the games on beIN Sport.

Tonight’s match signifies the second occasion that the two teams will compete against each other during WAFCON.

Their first meeting occurred at the 2008 tournament, which ended in a scoreless draw.

“Nigeria has been crowned African champions nine times—tying for the most continental titles worldwide with China (AFC) and the USA (CONCACAF),” CAF remarked, highlighting that Nigeria has reached the semi-finals in all 12 of their prior participations.

Nigeria is also recognized as the most successful nation in WAFCON history, having secured numerous trophies, including those in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018.

Regarding Tunisia, they advanced to the quarter-finals in their most recent appearance in 2022, with the 2025 edition representing the team’s third participation in WAFCON.
