Police Arrests Principal For Assaulting Student With Electric Iron

The Rivers State Police Command has detained the proprietor and proprietress of Christ Ambassadors Mission International School, located in Eagle Island, Port Harcourt, following serious allegations of child abuse involving a 14-year-old female student. The arrests were made after reports surfaced that the school’s principal instructed a teacher to inflict severe punishment on the teenager, resulting in physical harm.

According to preliminary investigations, the incident stemmed from an accusation by the girl’s aunt, who serves as her caregiver, claiming the student stole ₦30,000. The aunt reported the matter to the school authorities, prompting the principal to allegedly order a teacher to press a hot iron on the teenager as a form of punishment.
