Friends of Miss Orinemi Ayanate are calling on the Rivers State Police command to thoroughly investigate and arrest her fiancé, for allegedly stabbing her on the hand and head. Ayanate’s friends vehemently condemned the alleged action of her fiancé over what they described as a minor issue that occurred at Iwofe on Monday, June 23, 2025.
The victim is currently battling for her life in a hospital around Odili Road, Port Harcourt, as confirmed by one of her friends, Mr Promise Wosu Junior, popularly known as Wene Port Harcourt. Wosu told newsmen that the victim had already been given four packs of blood, as she had lost a lot of blood and was unable to speak. She was rushed to the hospital by neighbours who heard her cry for help.

It was alleged that the fiancé, after stabbing her, made away with her phone, handbag, and wig. According to Wene Port Harcourt, “She is a very good friend of mine, like, a very close friend. “The incident took place in Port Harcourt, Iwofe. This is not the first time she has been beaten by this man; the relationship has been so abusive, but this one is like the extreme point of it.
“He has been beating her before now. So, from what we gathered because she couldn’t even speak, right now, she has even taken over four packs of blood, just this evening, because she lost a whole lot of blood. “From the little she told us was that the man stabbed her. I don’t know if you watched the video we recorded, both her hand and her head, then, also seized her phone, took her wig and her handbag and left her in the house and ran away, so, she couldn’t even reach anybody.
She was screaming until neighbours came to her rescue before they were alerted, even her parents were not aware until we did that video and sent it to her mother.” He further appealed to journalists in Port Harcourt to reach out to the victim and allow her to speak about her ordeal when she regains strength. Wene said the state Police had been notified about the incident.
