Dunamis Church Ends Live Broadcasts, Mandates Physical Attendance for Services

Abuja, Nigeria – The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Dr. Paul Enenche, has announced the immediate discontinuation of live broadcasts of church services, urging members to prioritise physical attendance.

The decision was disclosed during Sunday’s service, where Pastor Enenche cited scriptural backing from Hebrews 10:25, emphasising the significance of congregational gatherings. He stated that virtual worship, via satellite or online platforms, would no longer be encouraged.

“The assembly is very important,” Enenche declared. “Those of you used to watching from home, today may be the last day you do that. We are stopping all live broadcasts, except for overseas members without access to a physical church.”

Previously, Dunamis Church transmitted live Sunday and midweek services through its cable channel, Dunamis TV, as well as YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms. The new directive marks a significant shift in the church’s approach to worship, prioritising in-person fellowship over remote participation.

The move has sparked mixed reactions among congregants, with some applauding the emphasis on physical unity, while others express concern for members who rely on online services due to distance or health constraints.

No official statement has been released yet on possible exemptions or alternative arrangements for local members unable to attend in person.
