Rivers LG Administrator Allegedly Resigns

Rivers State

Barely two months after his appointment as the administrator of Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr Goodluck M. Iheamnacho, has purportedly resigned. Iheamnacho’s supposed resignation letter dated Friday, June 20, 2025, came as a shock to the people of the state.

It is not very clear why the administrator resigned but their are claims that minutes before his purported resignation, some men moved into the LG council, manhandled and allegedly forced him to sign the resignation letter. The claim also revealed that instead of 11th day of April to 20 June, the letter captured 11th day of April to 20th July, 2025.

The letter addressed to the sole administrator of the state, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ekwe Ibas (rtd) read, “sequel to the above subject matter, I humbly write to your noble office to convey to you my resignation as the administrator Ahoada East LGA. “My decision is informed by my desire to return back to the private sector.
