Olamide Used My Name but Ignored My Calls – Nollywood Actor

Nollywood actor Yemi Ayebo, popularly known as “Yemi My Lover,” has called out award-winning rapper Olamide for allegedly ignoring him after using his moniker in a song. The veteran actor made the revelation in a recent social media interview, claiming that despite the global recognition his nickname gained from Olamide’s 2013 hit “Turn Up,” the singer has never compensated him or maintained communication.

He revealed that using his name in contents and music gave him more popularity. “Olamide was the first to use my name in his song , and I was so happy. My name is blessed by God, that’s why both Davido, Olamide and others including skit makers are using it, He said.

Yemi my lover stated that the afro beat star avoided his calls and messages for months while expressing disappointment over the lack of acknowledgment. Yemi, whose nickname became a viral sensation, insists he bears no grudge but seeks proper recognition. The debate continues as influencers increasingly borrow personas without formal agreements
