Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has commenced the procurement process for implementation of projects in the commission’s approved 2024 budget.
Speaking at the opening of the bids in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Assistant Director Procurement, Mr. Tumi Grant, described the move as an indication of the commission’s belief in integrity and transparency.

Mr. Grant explained that the opening of the bid fulfilled the requirements of the procurement act and said that contractors who met the requirements, both technical and financial, of the project bid would receive award letters for implementation.
Representative of one of the bidding companies, Mr. Placidus Omaba, expressed satisfaction with the process, describing it as transparent.
Similarly, an observer Executive Director, Society for Women and Youth Affairs, Dr. Amani Stella, confirmed that the bid documents were intact as submitted and opened in the presence of the bidders.
The respondents applauded NDDC for following procurement guidelines.
