Rotary Club Celebrates 40 Years Anniversary, Installs New President

The Rotary Club of TransAmadi has celebrated its 40th Anniversary with the Installation of the 41st Club President at a colorful event held in Port Harcourt.

‎The event which brought together members and past presidents of the Club offered Rotarians present the opportunity to evaluate the gains made even as they prepare for the new Rotary Year.

‎The outgoing President of Rotary Club TransAmadi, Mrs Felicia Barber while appreciating members of the club for the support which helped the club to achieve success in its charitable endeavors stated that over One hundred and twenty million was expended in various humanitarian projects that aligned with Rotary Goals and Vision.

‎The newly installed President, Benjamin Orabueze said the need to give back to the society has been a major driving force  in the Rotary Club and he pledged to work in unity with members of the club to achieve the goals for the Rotary Year.



‎The Installation Committee Chairman, Nwosu Prince-Chima and an Award recipient Bassey Akpan while appealing to members of the club to make themselves available for service also prayed for the newly installed President to achieve greater success in the delivery of humanitarian projects that would benefit the society.


‎The event which held at FB Gardens, Old GRA Port Harcourt had in attendance, Former Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Sir Gabriel Toby, the Rotary District 9141 Governor, Chinedu Ikegwani and other respected Rotarians who sang and danced in celebration of a successful 40th Anniversary Celebration.
