The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has raised alarm over the activities of some individuals and corporate entities falsely posing as staff of the company to defraud unsuspecting members of the public
In a statement by the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye, the entities falsely claiming to represent NNPC Limited solicit fees for meetings with the NNPC Board of Directors, Executives, and Management Staff, actions which the statement noted to be unauthorized and illegal.

The statement, which urged Foreign Investors and International Business Entities to be cautious and report any such incidents to the appropriate security authorities, noted that NNPCL remains committed to transparency and the protection of stakeholders’ interactions.
While calling for public support to unmask the perpetrators of such acts the statement also detailed that all legitimate engagements with NNPC Limited occur through official channels and business units.
