Russian Goalkeeper Hails Super Eagles Ahead of Friendly Match

Stanislav Agkatsev, the Russian national team goalkeeper has depicted the Super Eagles of Nigeria as one of the foremost imposing adversaries they will confront since their suspension from universal football.

The Russians will play two friendlies against Nigeria and Belarus this month, and the standout matches will see them take on the three-time African champions at the famous Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on June 6, with kickoff planned for 18:00 Nigerian time.

With the special case of Galatasaray ‘starman’ Victor Osimhen, ‘Atlanta soccer magician’ Ademola Lookman and Alex Iwobi, Super Eagles coach Eric Chele has named a solid squad for another week’s international friendly.

And the Nigerian national team will be heading to Moscow full of certainty, having held the Unity Cup title taking after a shootout win against Jamaica at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday evening.

According to report, it is however claimed that the match against Nigeria could be a noteworthy test for the Russian side, who have gone unbeaten in their later match fixtures.

Talking ahead of their upcoming friendlies, the Russian international goal-stopper Agkatsev emphasized the quality of the Super Eagles and communicated energy for what he anticipates to be a challenging experience.  “Nigeria has a very good level. Probably one of the strongest teams in recent times,” Agkatsev said.

“I am sure that a very interesting game awaits us. Of course, I would like to play with any strong team, there are many strong ones.”
