The Sole Administrator of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Sir Clifford Walter, has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to identify areas requiring the council’s intervention in a bid to fast-track even development across the Local Government Area.
The Administrator who spoke during an inspection visit to the site of the Oginigba Ultra-Modern Market, a project originally initiated by the past Chairman of the Obio/Akpor Local Government Council Dr. George Ariolu noted that the inspection was aimed at assessing the current stage of construction and ensuring its completion for the benefit of the people of Oginigba and Obio/Akpor at large.

”We will not let good initiatives waste. Every viable project started by the previous administration will be seen through to completion under our watch”. Dr. Walter who was received on-site by Oginigba CDC Chairman Elder Christian Odum, other stakeholders of the community and representatives of the construction firm who briefed him on the extent of work done.

The Obio/Akpor Administrator further directed the engineering team to provide a full report on the project. “Come with all the necessary paperwork so we can see what has been done and identify where the council needs to step in.
This is a nice market for the people of Oginigba. We will do everything possible to ensure it becomes functional”.
Dr. Walter added that the inspection reinforces the council’s commitment to sustainable development and effective governance in line with the developmental aspirations of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
