Ibas Pledges to Revitalize Port Harcourt Technical and Vocational Centre

The Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, has expressed his commitment to revitalizing the underutilized Port Harcourt Technical and Vocational Centre. During an inspection tour of key state projects, including the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex and the vocational center in Old GRA, Ibas emphasized the importance of skills-based education in developing skilled labor, promoting economic growth, and tackling youth unemployment in Rivers State.

The Administrator pledged to conduct a comprehensive appraisal of the vocational center to identify and address factors hindering its optimal operation.Ibas highlighted the transformative power of skills-based education, noting that it plays a crucial role in equipping young people with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the workforce.
