MOSIEND Commends PINL, Demands Contract Expansion From NNPCL

Overwhelmed foremost Niger Delta mass mobilization organization has poured encomium on Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) for its consistent and proactive engagement with stakeholders across the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) corridor.

The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) commended PINL for its operational approach which it said has been instrumental to the peace in the region.

The Pan Niger Delta group gave this commendation in a statement made available to TPCN on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, where it passed a vote of confidence on PINL.

MOSIEND National President, Mr. Kennedy Tonjo West, commended PINL for facilitating sustainable conflict resolution mechanisms.

West revealed that PINL’s engagement with stakeholders across the TNP corridor underscores “PINL’s avowed commitment to addressing community challenges, and emerging changes, enhancing operational performance, and effectively communicating grassroots concerns to relevant government bodies.

“MOSIEND particularly acknowledges PINL’s commendable efforts in the implementation of social investments based on thorough community needs assessments “Also, for achieving near-zero infractions on critical pipeline infrastructure.”

He revealed other commendable efforts PINL had made to include “fostering a peaceful and business-friendly environment. Ensuring prompt payment of contractors, vendors and facilitating sustainable conflict resolution mechanisms”

On behalf of the stakeholders of the TNP communities, West reaffirmed their vote of confidence in PINL’s friendly disposition and commitment to positive stakeholder engagement strategies.

To the Nigerian National Petroleum Company NNPC, the MOSIEND National President said, “in light of prevailing economic realities and the need to attain laid down targets such as increase in oil production, we strongly urge the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) to consider an upward review of PINL’s contract reach and value to sustain and enhance these gains.”

Further, he applauded the executive director of PINL and his dedicated team for their outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to peace and progress in the Niger Delta.
