RIVERS WOMEN VISITS DEPUTY GOVERNOR

Rivers women and Deputy Governor

In a demonstration of solidarity and gratitude, members of Rivers Women Unite for SIM visited Rivers Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, at her residence in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

The group, led by Chief Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton, praised Prof. Mrs. Odu for her steadfast support of Governor Siminalayi Fubara during these challenging times. They lauded her for her extraordinary humility, nurturing leadership, and dedication to the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The women offered prayers for her ongoing strength, wisdom, health, and divine protection. In response, Deputy Governor Prof. Mrs. Ngozi Odu welcomed the group with joy and encouraged them to persist in their efforts for the peace, unity, and progress of the State. She reiterated her dedication to enhancing the welfare of women and backing initiatives that foster faith, family, and development. Additionally, she promised to support the Rivers Women Unite for SIM by being present whenever called upon.

The visit included prayers, songs of gratitude, and encouraging words, showcasing the unity and spiritual strength of the Rivers Women’s movement. A highlight of the visit was the presentation of specially designed T-shirts, face caps, and wrappers by Chief Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton to the Deputy Governor. The wrappers were gifts from various local government areas, presented to the Deputy Governor during the inauguration of Rivers Women Unite for SIM LGAs.
