Police Declares 66-Year-Old Woman, Two Others Missing In Rivers

Rivers State Police Command has declared 66-year-old Mrs. Mary Bassey Simon, residing at 22 Ibeto Road, Port Harcourt, missing. Mary was declared missing on Saturday, May 3, 2025 in a statement made available to our correspondent. The statement revealed that 5-year-old Delight Ikechukwu and her 3-year-old sister, Divine Ikechukwu, are also missing, as confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko.

The 66-year-old missing woman, who is said to be fair in complexion, six feet tall, and speaks English and Ibibo language fluently, was said to have left her home on Friday, April 25, 2025. All efforts made by her family to trace her whereabouts proved abortive, which resulted in contacting the state police for immediate intervention.

The statement further appealed to “any person with useful information as to her whereabouts should please contact the Divisional Police Officer, Central Police Station CPS, on phone number 08034052409 or report to the nearest police station or call security number: 08032003514.”

On the whereabouts of the five and three years old siblings, Iringe-koko disclosed that the missing persons are native of Ezinihite Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State but reside at CJ compound Afam Power Station in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state. According to her, “They are dark and fair in complexion, speak English and Igbo languages fluently.

They left home on April 22, 2025″. All efforts made to trace their whereabouts proved abortive.
