The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, declined to comment on the matter. This arrest has sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians, with some questioning the EFCC’s priorities and others supporting the agency’s efforts to enforce the law.

Some Nigerians believe the arrest is a step in the right direction, emphasizing the importance of upholding the law and maintaining the dignity of the Naira.

Others argue that the EFCC should focus on more pressing issues, such as tackling corruption and economic crimes that affect the nation more significantly.

Some users pointed out that the EFCC should apply the law consistently, citing examples of others who have allegedly committed similar offenses without facing consequences.

The outcome of this case will likely depend on the EFCC’s investigation and the subsequent court proceedings.
