The Bayelsa State chapter of the NEW Associates, a political movement supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will hold a mega rally and official inauguration in Yenagoa, the state capital, today, 26th of April 2025.

The purpose of the gathering, according to the group’s organiser, George Turnah, is to express gratitude to President Tinubu for assigning Ijaws’ sons and daughters to important roles in his administration.

Turnah, who is also the Zonal Secretary of the PDP in the South-South Zone and Acting Chairman of the PDP in Bayelsa State, assured that the event will be peaceful and well-coordinated.

The rally will also serve as a platform to commend President Tinubu’s administration for appointing Ijaw individuals to strategic national roles, including Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, MD/CEO of the NDDC.
