Vice Admiral Ibas Attends First NEC Meeting

The recently appointed Sole Administrator of Rivers State, attended his first National Economic Council (NEC) meeting held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting, a forum for discussing critical economic matters affecting the nation, was presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Vice Admiral Ibas’s presence at the NEC meeting signifies his inaugural official engagement at this level since assuming the role of Sole Administrator for Rivers State. His appointment followed the declaration of a state of emergency in the state, a development that has placed him in a unique administrative position.
