Rivers State NYSC Coordinator: “Bring To Bear A Refined Mind”

Camp officials for the 2025 NYSC Batch A Stream I orientation exercise in Rivers State have been charged to bring to bear in the exercise a “refined mind, ingenuity, and creativity.”

The State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe gave the charge on the 22nd of April during a general meeting of all camp officials.

He emphasized the need for teamwork and synergy amongst officials, stating that no schedule should be left idle.

Speaking further, he sued for mutual respect, use of civil and decent language, empathy and emotional intelligence in responding to and addressing Corps Members’ needs and challenges.

Furthermore, he used the occasion to warn against extortion, use of illicit drugs, physical contact with Corps members and officials, emotional and mental abuse as well as other negative acts capable of bringing the image of the Scheme to disrepute.

In his remark, the Camp Director, Mr. Ebony Daniel, re-echoed the points already stated by the Coordinator and appealed to the officials to make the camping exercise unique and special through refined attitude and character, which should be their watchword.

He said that when the above is achieved, they would have succeeded in creating a lasting memory and positive impact on the minds of the Corps Members.

The meeting witnessed robust and germane contributions from the officials tailored at achieving an all-around successful camping exercise.

The meeting was held on the 22nd of April in preparation for the forthcoming NYSC orientation camp exercise, which began today 23rd of April across 36 states in the country.
