Osimhen leads Galatasaray to Turkish Cup Finals

Victor Osimhen delivered a standout performance, scoring a goal and providing an assist in Galatasaray’s commanding 5–1 victory over Konyaspor, securing their spot in the Turkish Cup final.

The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 26th minute, expertly heading in a precise cross from Dries Mertens. Just two minutes after the halftime break, the 26-year-old showcased his playmaking ability by setting up Rolland Sallai for Galatasaray’s third goal, further solidifying their dominance.

Osimhen’s impact this season has been remarkable, with the forward amassing an impressive 30 goals and six assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds.

His influence on the pitch was evident until the 73rd minute when he was substituted for Yusuf Demir, receiving a well-deserved rest with the match comfortably in hand. Galatasaray’s convincing win keeps them on track to achieve a domestic double, with the Turkish Cup and Super Lig title firmly within their sights.

Since arriving at Galatasaray on loan, Osimhen has seamlessly filled the void left by Mauro Icardi, emerging as the focal point of the team’s attack. His lethal finishing, relentless work rate, and knack for performing in high-stakes moments have not only won over the passionate Istanbul fanbase but also cemented his status as one of Europe’s most electrifying talents.

As the Turkish Cup final approaches, Galatasaray will rely heavily on their in-form number 9 to spearhead their quest for silverware. Given his current trajectory, Osimhen appears poised to deliver, and his performances are making him a central figure in discussions about the continent’s elite strikers.
