Pope Francis Dies at 88

Pope Franciss

The Catholic world has been thrown into mourning at the passing of Pope Francis, announced by the leaders Cardinal Kevin Farrell, in a statement released today.

The Pope died in the early hours of today, the 21st of April 202,5, aged 88, having lived from 1936 to 2025. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as Jorge Mario Bergoglio and is better known by his papal name, Pope Francis.

The Cardinal said, “Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. “At 7.35 am this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father.

“His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and His Church. “He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage and universal love, especially in favour of the poorest and most marginalised.

Related: Pope Francis apologised for using a derogatory term in reference to gay people.

“With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Only True God.”

The pontiff, who was Bishop of Rome and head of the Catholic Church, became pope in 2013 after his predecessor, Benedict XVI, resigned.

Until his death. The Pope had been battling with Pneumonia and Bronchitis.

Before his passing, the Pope was not in the good books of many, with the majority being those of the Pentecostal division of the body of Christ.

He was always in the news for going around the world campaigning for a one world religion, something that the bible strongly relates to the activity of the anti-Christ and as such many questioned the motive for which the Pope pushed for that course, whether it has been a Catholic agenda since it’s inception to deceive people to pull them away from the ways of God.

There was an instance where he was said to have approved Reverend Fathers to bless couples of the same sex, causing a backlash from even those of Catholic background, as the bible strongly stands against Sodomy.

Hopefully, he will earn forgiveness from some now that he has left this world, as no man expects any explanation from the dead. May his soul rest where the Lord desires, amen.
