A shocking incident unfolded in Abua Odual, where a 6-year-old boy, Odemaseph, was left deaf and dumb by a neighbor who practiced dark incantations. The perpetrator, identified as Isaac, a native doctor practitioner from the Otari community, has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
According to eyewitnesses, Isaac had been practicing his dark arts for several months and was seeking to test his powers on a human subject. He deceitfully called Odemaseph, who lived nearby, on the pretext of sending him on an errand. The boy’s parents, trusting Isaac, did not suspect any foul play.

Upon Odemaseph’s return, Isaac lured him into his house, locked the door, and began to incant. The boy became numb, unable to speak or move. Despite Isaac’s attempts to reverse the spell, Odemaseph remained in a catatonic state.
When Odemaseph’s mother grew concerned about her son’s disappearance, she approached Isaac, who denied any knowledge of the boy’s whereabouts. A search party was formed, and upon searching Isaac’s house, they found Odemaseph in a disturbing state.
After intense questioning, Isaac confessed to his heinous crime. Despite his attempts to reverse the spell, Odemaseph remains deaf and dumb. The police have arrested Isaac, and the boy’s parents are seeking medical and spiritual solutions to restore their child’s health.
The head of police in Abua has stated that Isaac will remain in custody until Odemaseph returns to his normal state. The community is in shock, and residents are calling for greater awareness and vigilance to prevent such incidents in the future.
