The people of Egbolom community in Abua-Odual local government area of Rivers State, are appealing to the state government and security agencies to carry out thorough investigation into the killing of Mr. Michael Wariboko, and the attempted kidnap of the paramount ruler and chairman of the Community Development Committee CDC, of the community.
Narrating their experience to newsmen, the Paramount Ruler of Egbolom community, Chief Kenoyi Roberts and the CDC Chairman, Mr. Rufus Goodluck, said some men dressed in coverall and posing as representatives of a dredging company, stormed the community on March 24 this year, killed Mr. Michael Wariboko, adopted Mr. Emugheoi Monday and Mr. Gideon Okulu.

Corroborating the development, the Youth President of the Ogbolom community, Mr. Godspower Frank, and another indigene of the community, Mrs. Igbera Robins, said the town is now deserted because of the development and urged the security agencies to investigate some named suspects in the kidnapping attempt.
While pledging to remain law-abiding, the people of the Ogbolom community are calling on relevant agencies of government to commence an investigation into the incident and ensure that the perpetrators are made to face the law.
