The People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State has once again criticized the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu and the appointment of a retired military officer, Ibok Ette-Ibas, as the sole administrator of the state.
The Acting Chairman of the party, Robinson Nname-ewor, who briefed journalists in Port Harcourt, said that the actions of the sole administrator betray the reasons for a state of emergency.
Nname Ewor stated that Ibas’s arbitrary actions since his appointment have shown that President Tinubu is merely playing politics to gain access to the state treasury.

The Rivers state PDP acting chairman further urged President Tinubu to rein in the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, while seeking continued support from the people for Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
