Rivers State Government Debunks “Malicious Propaganda” Against Governor Fubara

The Rivers State Government has issued a statement dismissing a recent propaganda article claiming that Governor Siminalayi Fubara paid N70 million to actress Hilda Dokubo to organize a rally against President Bola Tinubu and Minister Nyesom Wike. The government described the article as “sinister propaganda” and “a poorly written and ill-conceived fabrication”.

According to the statement, the article originated from a notorious pseudo-page called Port Harcourt Force, known for spreading falsehood and propaganda. Further investigation revealed that the article was distributed to social media blogs, with some bloggers offered N100,000 each to post and feature the story.

The government emphasized that Governor Fubara is a man of peace who has consistently spoken against actions that spread tension and undermine cohesion. The statement also clarified that the event referenced in the article occurred in Delta State and had no connection to the Governor.

The Rivers State Government urged the public to be vigilant and resist attempts to undermine peace and political stability in the state. The statement concluded by reassuring citizens that the government remains committed to delivering effective governance, transparency, and accountability.
