Mother And Baby Kidnapped In Rukpokwu Port Harcourt

A harrowing kidnapping case has unfolded in Rukpokwu Port Harcourt, leaving a family in distress. A woman, who sells pork meat, was abducted along with her baby. Eyewitnesses reported that the woman had her baby on her back when the kidnappers struck, taking both the mother and the baby.

The incident occurred on a busy market day, with many witnesses claiming to have seen the kidnappers, but none were able to intervene in time. The woman’s husband, who was also at the market, was frantically searching for his wife and child, but to no avail.

A week after the kidnapping, the perpetrators contacted the woman’s husband, demanding a ransom. The husband, desperate to be reunited with his family, agreed to pay the ransom. However, in a shocking turn of events, when the husband attempted to contact the kidnappers again, the phone number was unreachable.

The husband, overwhelmed with worry and desperation, has made a heartfelt appeal for assistance. “I’m at a loss for what to do or where to search. I’m struggling financially, and our pork meat business is our only means of survival. I urgently need help and support to locate my wife and child.”

The family’s plight has sparked widespread concerns. The number of atrocities happening in Rukpokwu, especially Apu Road is becoming very alarming. Since this year, it has been one bad news to another, and this is making everybody scared” -says a woman

As the search continues, the husband’s emotional plea has resonated with many. The community remains hopeful that the woman and her baby will be reunited with their loved ones soon.

The community has rallied around the family, offering support and assistance. A fundraising campaign has been launched to help the family with the ransom demand, and a search party has been organized to comb the area for any sign of the kidnapped woman and her baby.
