Muslims in Rivers State to converge Friday to pray for suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara as they condemned the suspension of the governor by President Bola Tinubu.
A statement issued by the state Islamic leader and Vice President General, Rivers State Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Nasir Uhor said they will also pray against the evil detractors of Fubara who do not mean well for the state.
The Islamic leader who viewed the emergency rule imposed on the state by the president as wrong, urged all Muslims in the state to stand against the injustice meted out on the state by the Abuja forces.
He said, “Recent very unfortunate political events in the state have the potential of endangering our peace and even truncating our successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
