Woman Arrested for Brutalizing Neighbor’s Child in Eleme

A disturbing incident unfolded in the Alode community, Eleme, where a woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting her neighbor’s child with a pestle. The shocking act, captured on video, has sparked outrage and calls for justice.

The arrest was carried out by Comrade Oluka Ibiti Emmanuel, the Chief Security Officer of the Eleme Youth Council. The suspect is currently being held at the Eleme Police Station as authorities conduct further investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile, debate has arisen over the role of the individual who filmed the assault. Some members of the public are calling for their arrest, arguing that they failed to intervene promptly to prevent further harm to the child. The incident has intensified discussions on bystander responsibility and the urgency of reporting child abuse cases.
