To reinforce accountability, Ohia reiterated RIWAMA’s policy of penalizing contractors who fail to complete waste evacuation between 10 PM and 6 AM. He issued a specific warning to contractors working on flyovers, emphasizing the critical importance of these areas and their potential to be targeted for sabotage.

“Sweepers must ensure our roads stand out glittering,” he stated, adding that negligence in their duties would result in consequences.

Ohia called for strengthened collaboration between contractors and the agency, emphasizing the necessity of teamwork to achieve exceptional results.

With his ambitious vision, Prince Ohia aims to set new benchmarks for urban cleanliness, positioning Port Harcourt as a model city that outshines other urban centers in Nigeria.
