The duo’s absence was felt in the team’s 2-1 victory over Kwara United in the league, and George is eager to see them represent Nigeria on the international stage.

George revealed that he had spoken with both players, offering words of encouragement as they vie for a spot in the national team. “I wished them well and expressed my hope that they will make the final list for the game,” George told Rivers United Media.

While acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding their selection, George emphasized that the team will welcome them back with open arms if they fail to make the cut. “If not, we will see if we can have them back, but we will wait and hear from the federation,” he added.
