LG Electronics Donates Solar-Powered Boreholes to Port Harcourt Communities

LG Electronics has demonstrated its commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment by donating solar-powered boreholes to the Nkpogu and Elekahia communities in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Speaking at the inauguration event, LG’s Head of Corporate Marketing, Mr. Hari Elluru, highlighted the company’s focus on improving basic living conditions for underserved populations through environmentally friendly solutions.

He emphasized that the solar-powered boreholes provide a reliable and cost-effective water supply, aligning with LG’s mission to enhance lives through innovative technology while minimizing environmental impact.

Mr. Mahmoud Youssef, Branch Manager of Fouani Nigeria Limited, LG’s partner, also underscored the significance of clean and safe drinking water.

 

He remarked that access to potable water is vital for health, as it supports hydration, toxin removal, nutrition delivery, and digestion.

The solar-powered boreholes represent LG’s innovative approach to addressing critical needs while promoting sustainability, reinforcing the company’s dedication to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
