The team’s outstanding performance in wrestling has yielded 11 gold, 12 silver, and 7 bronze medals, bringing their total medal count to a remarkable 30 across various sporting events.

The 2nd Africa Military Games, which commenced on Monday, have brought together a diverse group of approximately 1,625 athletes from 21 African countries, all competing across 20 different sporting disciplines. Nigeria’s performance has been particularly outstanding, with the team demonstrating their versatility and depth by exceling in multiple events.

In addition to their impressive showing in wrestling, Team Nigeria has also made a significant impact in taekwondo, claiming four gold medals in the sport. Mohammed Yusuf led the charge, winning the men’s 54kg category, while Bisallah Rejoice, Ibeh Nancy, and Anam Glory also emerged victorious in their respective women’s categories.
