Shallipopi Clears the Air: I don’t smoke, It’s just aesthetics

Nigerian music sensation Crown Uzama, better known by his stage name Shallipopi, has revealed that despite frequently posing with cigarettes in his pictures and videos, he does not smoke. The artist clarified that his use of cigarettes is purely for aesthetic purposes and not a reflection of his lifestyle.

Speaking during an interview with Soundcity, the Oba Pluto hitmaker shared, “One thing my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t smoke. It’s just aesthetics.”

The disclosure comes as a surprise to many of his fans who might have assumed otherwise due to his artistic visuals and public appearances. Shallipopi’s clarification highlights the creative liberties some artists take to enhance their image or connect with their audience.

Reflecting on his musical journey, Shallipopi attributed his drive to create music to the struggles he has faced in life. “What influences me to do music is hardship. You don’t want to go through hardship in this country,” he explained, shedding light on the personal challenges that fuel his artistry.

Known for his unique sound and relatable lyrics, Shallipopi continues to resonate with a growing fanbase, using his music to tell stories of resilience and ambition. Whether through his visuals or lyrics, the artist remains committed to authenticity while using his platform to inspire others.
